Adventure riders had a blast last weekend as bike parts and accessory brand, Touratech, and BMW Motorrad Philippines held the annual travel event at the beautiful Elysian Sands resort in Dipaculao, Aurora. Dubbed as the GS Camp / Travel Event, the event highlighted the camaraderie and the free spirit of adventure riders, particularly, the BMW GS riders. The out of town ride was conceived to promote camaraderie among fellow adventurers and elevate the rider’s skills in adventure riding – a perfect fit for many of Touratech’s popular accessories.

As part of GS Camp tradition, Toto Villanueva, a BMW Motorrad Certified Instructor, demonstrated some essential techniques which can be useful during an adventure ride across the country. Besides the lesson, BMW Motorrad Philippines Director, Gil Balderas, officially announced that there will be an 'RP Team' who will be competing in the regional qualifiers of the BMW GS Trophy in Malaysia. If they emerge as finalists, they will be able to compete in the International GS Trophy.
The all-Filipino team will be selected via local qualifiers which will be held in Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. For those who want to cross out Europe from their travel bucket list, BMW is now inviting riders to participate at the 2019 BMW Motorrad Days that will be happening between July 5 and 7. Riders who join the Philippine contingent will be traveling across Europe and ultimately to the Motorrad Days epicenter in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The annual BMW Motorrad Days weekend attracts around 40,000 visitors from all over the world who share the same passion for riding motorcycles -- of all brands.
After a full night of music, booze, a great time and endless stories about riding, Touratech and BMW Motorrad Philippines, along with the GS Camp, participants then went to the nearby Dinadiawan Elementary School to hand over a water filtration as part of its CSR program. The system should last for ten years, benefiting around 800 kids who now has access to clean and safe drinking water.
