Thousands flock MXklusibo's 14th anniversary celebrations at Clark Parade Grounds

On Sunday, August 20, thousands of motorcycle riders flocked to Clark Parade Grounds to be part of Motorsiklo Xklusibo’s “Katorse sa Norte” 14th Anniversary celebrations.

Present during the event were presenters from both Japanese and Chinese motorcycle manufacturers, as well as different suppliers in the motorcycle industry like tires, motor oils, accessories, jerseys, decals/stickers, riding gear, and many more.

As with MXklusibo’s previous anniversary celebrations, the highlight has always been the raffle draw of brand-new motorcycles. This year, 10 lucky winners took home brand new motorcycles, with one of them taking home a brand new VOGE 500cc big bike.

In a very heartwarming encounter, David Medrana, one of Angkas’ executives, handed out PHP 5,000 to one of the raffle winners who happens to be a minor. Just a brief background to this story, the child’s name was written on the raffle entry as good luck. And, as luck would have it, his name was drawn by the representatives from Yamaha and he was to take home a brand new Mio Gravis worth PHP 89,900.

Unfortunately for this child winner, he was disqualified by the DTI representative because 1) he and his parents can’t present a government-issued ID, and 2) he is still a minor and is not yet legally allowed to drive a motorcycle. All the raffle rules were explicitly explained during the program.

As a sign of a good gesture and to keep the boy’s spirit high, Medrana, without hesitation, handed out PHP 5,000 cash to the boy – money he can use as baon.

Michael Bucu, who was one of the hosts, handed out an additional PHP 1,000 because he felt it was just right to reward the boy even with a small token. Angkas also gave away a brand new Honda Click 125 to a lucky motorcycle rider from Valenzuela City.

Yamaha, on the other hand, also handed some giveaway items to the boy and his family. Luck was indeed on that boy’s side.

But, the luckiest of the lucky was Fidel Ramos (not the former president) who rode all the way from Binan City, Laguna as he took home the grand prize: the twin-cylinder, 500cc VOGE 500R big bike.
