TESDA and Angkas launches basic motorcycle driving program in Taguig

During the 24th Annual National Federation of Motorcycle Clubs of the Philippines Convention 2018 in Legazpi City, Albay, President, Rodrigo Duterte, stressed that there is a need of subjecting motorcycle riders to a mandatory rider training course to equip them with the skills needed to make them safe riders on the road.

A few years later, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) tapped the expertise of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to develop and provide riders with FREE Theoretical and Practical riding courses.

Just recently, TESDA partnered with ride-hailing app provider, Angkas, to provide riders with free basic motorcycle riding courses to help them become better and safer riders on the road.

In this program, trainees will be subjected to a 5-day training activity that includes topics on performing motorcycle pre-ride activities, riding a motorcycle, and monitoring and maintaining motorcycle performance.
