Don't get caught counter-flowing along a one-way road

Planning on riding up to Tagaytay City this weekend to escape the summer heat? Or maybe just for a sip of that delicious bulalo soup? Well, the city will be implementing a new traffic scheme starting tomorrow, April 13, in preparation for the influx of thousands of tourists who will flock to Tagaytay for the upcoming Holy Week. According to the city's Office of Public Safety – Traffic Unit, vehicles coming from Manila, Bacoor, Silang and Sta Rosa and going to Nasugbu, Alfonso, Mendez or Indang should take J.P. Rizal Street at the Petron Maharlika East Intersection, passing through Mahogany Public Market.

Those vehicles coming from the opposite direction - Nasugbu, Indang, Alfonso and Mendez going back to Bacoor and Manila - should take the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Road (National Highway) at the Hagdang Bato (Police Station) Intersection, passing through the famous Mushroom Burger restaurant. Tagaytay City also advised motorists to plan their trips ahead and make sure that their vehicles are in top condition. For assistance, the Tagaytay City Office of Public Safety – Traffic Unit can be reached at 09278569979 or (046) 483-0446.
