Enter Skyway from Nagtahan, Araneta or Bonifacio

SMC Tollways Corporation has announced that they will be opening three additional on-ramps on Skyway Stage 3 on Friday, October 1, 2021.

The three additional on-ramps will be Nagtahan Northbound in Manila, Gregorio Araneta Northbound in Quezon City and the A. Bonifacio Southbound, also in Quezon City.

The opening of the Nagtahan NB on-ramp will be more convenient for motorists coming from Nagtahan up to the UST area. They will no longer have to enter SS3 from the Zobel on-ramp in Makati, whereas motorists in the area around Quezon Avenue will no longer have to take EDSA when going to NLEX. For those coming from Caloocan, or simply missed the Balintawak on-ramp of SS3, the opening of the A. Bonifacio SB on-ramp will be a great relief.

Skyway Stage 3 management maintains that only vehicles with RFID tags (Autosweep) are allowed to use the elevated expressway. For those without, RFID installation booths are located at select on-ramp toll booths along the expressway.

Skyway Stage 3 is an 18-kilometer elevated tollway that effectively connects South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Makati to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Balintawak. The project, which took a total of six years to complete due to numerous challenges, including right-of-way issues and major changes to its design and alignment, is seen to greatly improve travel times and traffic conditions in and around Metro Manila. The total project cost is over PHP 80-billion.
