Motorcycles have been taking more prominent roles in movies of late. And they’re not shy about it. Triumph has made a lot of noise over their motorcycles’ starring roles in the movies Birds of Prey and James Bond: No Time to Die.
This time, it’s UK-based CCM’s turn to shine with their starring role in the upcoming movie, Black Widow, from Disney-Marvel.
For the movie, CCM fielded their Spitfire model, a dual sport, scrambler style motorcycle. CCM provided the production with six Spitfires customized to the production’s specifications.
The company claims the production crew were delighted with the performance of the bike, opting to use it for more stunt sequences than originally planned.
“The bike performed so well straight off the line the [stunt] team felt able to use the standard production CCM bikes in all of the stunt sequences rather than their usual lookalike dirt bikes,” CCM said.
In celebration of this, CCM is offering their Spitfire in a limited “Blackout” version as a tribute to the movie. The bike has the same specs and design as the movie bike offering customers the chance to ride like Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow character.
The Spitfire Blackout edition comes with hand-painted “Blackout” color scheme, metallic black paint, grey panels, red details, a carbon fiber headlight cowl, black powder-coated steel trellis frame, and a dark grey microsuede dual saddle. There’s also a slash-cut, high-mounted exhaust, brand-new performance mapping and revised gearing.
The CCM Spitfire Blackout is priced at UK£8,995 (PhP571,500).
Black Widow last rode a motorcycle in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. The bike of choice in the movie was a Harley-Davidson LiveWire.
CCM is a small boutique manufacturer known for their unique styling and curved trellis frame. This isn’t their first outing in the movie as their last appearance was in Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life, ridden by none other than Angelina Jolie.
