The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in 2012 by Mark Hawwa in Sydney, Australia — inspired by a photo of the actor Don Draper wearing a suit on a classic motorcycle. Its aim is to strip away the negative stereotype of bikers, connect enthusiasts, and support men’s physical and mental health.

The global event, which is staged in more than 600 cities across over 100 countries, is partnered with multiple institutions for prostate cancer research as well as The Movember Foundation which focuses not only on prostate and testicular cancer but also suicide prevention.

This year, DGR will be held at seven locations around the Philippines: in Metro Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Cebu, San Fernando, San Pablo, and Zamboanga. Registration is required to view event details such as meeting and destination locations. The parade route, speed limits, and other particulars are usually divulged during that morning’s ride orientation.
