Philippine flag proudly raised in Malaysian ARRC round last weekend

The Philippine Flag was proudly raised and Lupang Hinirang was played during the awarding ceremonies of last weekend's Yamaha Sniper One-Make, Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) races at Sepang, Malaysia as the country's bets, Masato 'The Chairman' Fernando, and McKinley Kyle 'Wonder Boy' Paz finished 1st and 3rd in Race 2 of the weekend, narrowly missing a 1 and 2 finish for the Pinoys.

Both riding the “King of the Street” Sniper 150, McKinley Kyle Paz has a made statement that the Filipino brand of racing belongs among the best of Asia. Knowing that he is now a marked man after finishing on top, he was more than ready for an entire grid going after him. Teammate Masato Fernando finished 5th in Race 1 on Saturday. After missing out on the podium on Saturday, The Chairman ended his Malaysian campaign in 1st place for Race 2. Starting from 4th on the grid, he was focused from start to finish and was virtually unstoppable the whole way. After a stellar outing, the Wonder Boy fought off countless opponents and rode his way to 3rd place.

The team went home yesterday not only bringing with them their victories, but also the Best Team Award as the Philippine Flag waved on top of the standings.
