Piaggio unveils new electric scooter on TikTok

Over the past couple of months, we've seen several brands unveil new models on social media channels like Facebook and Youtube. For the first time in history, a new electric motorcycle will be making its world debut on TikTok.

Piaggio has chosen the short video-based social network as the stage for the debut of its electric scooter designed for global mobility, called the One. It has already been revealed on TikTok but will be officially launched at the Beijing Motor Show on May 28, 2021. Piaggio has chosen TikTok as the teaser venue in order to cater to the younger generation hat has made it today's hippest social network.

Piaggio calls the One light, easy to ride, essential yet smart. It also promises quality, reliability, and a robust chassis for maximum riding pleasure and guaranteed safety and enjoyment.

Among the features Piaggio teased are a digital color instrument panel with a sensor to adapt the background and luminosity to ambient conditions, full LED lights, a keyless start system, and two motor maps or drive modes.

The design of the Piaggio One incorporates key scooter elements made with quality materials. It boasts of a flat, roomy footplate, low seat height, and beautiful rear swing arm afforded by the lack of a large and bulky motor. As you can expect, there's a very large compartment under the seat. It even includes a remote start system with its keyless system.

The Piaggio One will be available in several versions, offering different powers (moped and motorcycle) and different ranges, all powered by an electric motor whose lithium-ion batteries can be easily extracted for recharging at home or in the office.
