Many riders dream of owning a BMW R1250 GS, however its large size and exclusive price continue to make it an elusive dream for many.
Our friends in the UK, however, have a solution to that: the Sinnis Terrain 380 (T380). The bike is clearly positioned against KTM’s 390 Adventure. It’s offered by Sinnis Motorcycles, a UK-based motorcycle brand which designs its own bikes. It was founded in the UK in 2006. The motorcycles are made by Chinese manufacturing partners that produce components for Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, and Yamaha.
The T380 is powered by a 380cc liquid-cooled parallel twin SOHC engine which delivers 36 PS at 9,000 rpm and 35 Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and is claimed to reach a top speed of 138 km/h.
It features some pretty impressive components like an inverted front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. It rolls on 19-inches wheels in front and 17-inch wheels at the rear. It’s a more road-biased sport tourer with dual purpose 110 mm 140 mm tires fitted.
It’s also fairly high-tech. It comes with an all-LED lighting system with asymmetrical twin LED projector headlamps. It also gets a colour instrument cluster with smartphone pairing. There’s also a USB charger and an additional 12V charger connected to the instrument cluster too.
Sinnis also offers aluminum lockable, quick-release panniers and a top box.
In stock form, the T380 tips the scales at 200 kg. It features a rather high 820 mm seat height. Nonetheless, the bike is claimed to easily attain an average fuel consumption of 29.7 km/L. It has a large 18-liter tank which should grant a range of 450 km on a full tank.
The motorcycle is not officially available yet, but Sinnis is now accepting pre-orders for UK customers. The bikes will be delivered by September 2020.
The T380 is priced in the UK at GBP 4,495 (PhP287,000) which makes it an absolute steal. Unfortunately, it’s only available in the UK.
Sinnis also offers a number of other models like a café racer, supermoto, naked bike, and scooter.
