Heads up to motorists who are coming from the north and are going to Manila: NLEX Corporation has announced that between May 21 to 22, a 3-kilometer portion of Candaba viaduct will be undergoing major rehabilitation, thus, will be closed to all traffic.
The section will be between KM 52 and 49, if coming from San Fernando, Pampanga.
According to NLEX Corporation, the section will be closed from 10 PM, May 20, up to 4 AM of May 21 (for 6 hours). During the same time the following night, the same section will be closed again until 4 AM of May 22.
This is to give way to the installation of thorma joints on the said viaduct. Vehicles will be directed to a counterflow lane on the opposite side of the viaduct. Expect heavy traffic. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes if necessary.
