New Yamaha XSR 155 coming to PH, will retail at PhP 162K

Fans of modern classic motorcycles have a new motorcycle to keep their heads spinning as the new XSR 155 from Yamaha will soon be available for an SRP of PhP162,000.

Though there is no official announcement from Yamaha Motor Philippines as of this writing, MotoPinas.com has received an image of an email confirming arrival of the new XSR 155 to Yamaha motorcycle dealers nationwide from one of our fans. Our contact from Yamaha PH who requested to remain anonymous also confirmed the news.

Launched last August 2019 in Thailand, the new XSR 155 Philippine-spec will be available in two colors: Garage Metal (silver/black) and Tech Black (matte black) color schemes. It is powered by a 155.1cc liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. Fuel tank capacity is 10 liters, while the braking is handled by front and rear disc brakes.

The front has inverted forks, while the rear has a mono shock absorber. Perhaps one of the best features of the new XSR 155 is the inclusion of a delta frame, which is usually reserved for performance-oriented big bikes.

The XSR 155 also boasts all-LED lighting throughout the bike. To keep the price competitive, it is likely that the Philippine-spec model will have no ABS.
