Still radical as ever

We've already seen all those teasers about the new Italjet Dragster scooter since 2018. But, like you, we were also wondering what happened.

Well, at the 2019 EICMA show in Milan, Italy, the newest Italjet Dragster scooter was unveiled to the public and may finally head to showrooms “soon”.

One can't deny that on looks along, this scooter looks like it's from the year 3000. As always, these Italians have never failed to amaze us with their radical designs of the Dragster, even from when the first models came out in 1998.

The new Dragster still features the RAAD forkless front suspension, a water-cooled single-cylinder engine in 125 or 200 cc sizes, and wide tires. Both the 125 and 200 cc variants will have adjustable springs and linked brakes, while an Anti-lock Braking System is standard for the 200 cc variant. It is also likely to be an electronically fuel-injected scooter to meet the strict European emissions standards.

How much will it be?

Access Plus, who also distributes Ducati and Indian Motorcycles here in the country, said as far back as 2018 that the Dragster price may be in the PhP200,000 range. But then again, that was in 2018 and a lot has changed since then. Though it may not actually travel as fast as it looks (especially the 125 version), one can't deny that this scooter will turn more heads than a supermodel. Expect the Dragster to arrive in the Philippines by March 2020.
