From Taytay to south of Luzon faster

Motorists coming from Alabang and South Luzon going to Taytay, Antipolo and surrounding areas will soon have a faster travel time as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking a new access road that will connect Circumferential Road-6 (C-6) and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) via Circumferential Road-5 (C-5). Now at 71% completion, the new access road is expected to cut travel time by as much as 20 minutes.

“Decongesting traffic in major roadways in the City of Taguig such as Cayetano Boulevard, the two (2) lane 688-meter road will also serve as an additional access from Pateros going to C-6 road which will then be linked to C-5 road,” said DPWH Secretary, Mark Villar.

The new access road is located in Brgy. Sta. Ana, Taguig City. “Bambang ni Felix," as the new access road will be called, is part of a new network that will soon connect C-5 and C-6, as well as Pateros.

The construction of this P41-million peso road started in July last year and is scheduled to be completed in March of this year.
