All-star motorcycle racers join hands to raise funds to fight COVID-19

Superstars of road racing liek MotoGP and WSBK, off-road, as well as other two-wheel legends joined forces to raise funds for the fight against of COVID-19. Organized by the Royal Spanish Motorcycling Federation, this charity event has superstars auctioning off their stuff like helmets, race suits, boots, and even a Bultaco Sherpa T250cc (from Manuel Casado) for a good cause.

The bidding takes place on the online auction platform, Catawiki, which has waived its normal commission to help the cause.

The auction will start June 5, 2020, and the items can be viewed here.

There's a lot up for bidding, some of them actually worn and used by these sports heroes. These are just a few of the highlights. 5-time WSBK champion Jonathan Rea is also involved and is donating 2 VIP passes good for any World Superbike round. Perhaps, the most bizarre item to be auctioned off comes from Cal Crutchlow, donating the damaged yet very memorable rear wheel from his crash at Motoland Aragon back in 2016.

All the funds raised from the online auction will benefit the Spanish Red Cross to help them in their efforts in fighting COVID-19.
