Motorcycle riders, as well as vehicle drivers, are advised to take alternate routes. This weekend, August 10 to 11, the Sevilla Bridge that connects the cities of San Juan and Mandaluyong will be closed to traffic to give way to construction of the Skyway Stage 3 Project.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has said that the Sevilla Bridge will be closed to all types of vehicles between 10:00 PM Saturday, August 10 until 10:00 AM Sunday, August 11.
The MMDA has also added that the bridge will require a full closure because one of the contractors of the Skyway Stage 3 Project will need to move two 180-ton cranes in the area to install the coping beams of the elevated tollway. Motorists, including motorcycle riders, are advised to take alternative routes during the 12-hour closure of Sevilla Bridge.
Alternate routes, as suggested by the MMDA, will be the Bacood-Mandaluyong Bridge when you take the New Panaderos Ext. Road (if coming from Mandaluyong) or take Araneta Avenue instead.
