The agency said it will announce the availability of plates at other LTO NCR districts in a coming announcement and advices the public to be patient.

In addition to this, the LTO said it will defer some provisions of RA11235, The Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act, until the next announcement. This means that motorcycles without the new plate or using the MV File Number as identification will not be apprehended, due to the limited availability of the new plates.

For those fortunate enough to be registered within the district will be notified of the availability of their new plates. Alogn with receiving the new motorcycle plates, the LTO will also issue an RFID sticker which will be placed on the motorcycle’s headlight. This RFID is not a replacement for the front decal which the LTO will issue at a later date.

LTO enforcers will not apprehend anyone for using the old plate number or MV-file number plate for the time being.
