It was a proud moment for the City of Dagupan in Pangasinan as its first KTM flagship shop finally opened its doors last Friday, February 16th. Owned and operated by ecg Zoom Zone, Inc., the store boasts of a wide array of KTM motorcycles from the small KTM 65 SX dirt bike to the big KTM 690 Duke R. Max Gocheco, Managing Director of ecg Zoom Zone, emphasized that this will be one of the best KTM Stores in the country in terms of aftersales service. They’ve already invested on a pickup truck that can do free delivery of your newly purchased KTM Bike (terms and conditions apply), Garage on Wheels – a program that will enable KTM bike servicing and maintenance at the convenience of your home, and many more aftersales programs already in the pipeline.

The festivities started with a motorcade within the City of Dagupan and it was also during this moment that we were given the opportunity to indulge on a 2018 KTM Duke 390 demo bike owned by ecg Zoom Zone — a motorcycle that can do it all. It is Expressway-legal; the bike has plenty of power to maintain speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour during weekends; and is easy and light enough to sew through the metro traffic during weekdays.

"Proudly, we could say that there's really a boom in terms of sales and we intend to continue that and to spread the new motorization in terms of KTM bikes all over the country" said Mr. Gani Baybay, the National Sales Manager for Adventure Cycle Philippines Inc., (ACPI). 2017 was the first year of operations for KTM here in the Philippines through the direction of the Ayala Group. In fact, it was also during this year that KTM’s top selling motorcycles – the Duke 200 and 390; the RC 200 and 390 began to be assembled here in the Philippines (which accounts for about 95% of all KTM domestic sales) for local and international markets, particularly for the Thai and Chinese markets. When asked if there are plans along the tube for ACPI to assemble and to a greater extent manufacture bigger displacement KTM bikes here in the Philippines, Gani Baybay said, “Of course! Of course! Dream natin is for all KTM bikes to be assembled [here].”

"We're very happy now kasi, KTM Dagupan is inaugurated and we have a very very strong partner in sina Mr. Gocheco. This is the first dito sa Region 1 and Region 1 is a very important region for us. Maybe in less than a year we will have another one in Baguio, so yung mga gusto mag motor, maybe we could start in Manila, we go through the expressways then stop at KTM Dagupan and then go to KTM Baguio then back home." added Gani Baybay, referring to the KTM Lifestyle Shop that is currently being constructed in Baguio City which is also owned and operated by ecg Zoom Zone, Inc. Add to the fact that the newly built expressways make it easy these days to travel to the City of Pines, Baguio, in the morning to have coffee then head back to Manila before lunch.

“Definitely we are trying to uplift the customer service of KTM. It is a brand that we are proud of, it is a brand that we feel has plenty of potential here in the Philippines and one of the aspects that go along that potential is training,” said Mr. Patrick Lopez, Training and Development Manager for ACPI in an interview. He stressed the importance of consistent training for all KTM Dealer staff across the country to deliver excellent services to their customers. “We're giving this a lot of priority and we're making sure that each dealer, whether in Luzon, Visayas or in Mindanao will get the same level of training from us. We're also going to make sure that they are not only trained on the technical aspect but also on the customer service aspect to satisfy customers and uplift customer experience,” he added.

It has the complete set of KTM Specialized tools that only KTM BGC could boast of until now, a testament to ecg Zoom Zone’s commitment to deliver great aftersales service to all of its customers.
