CAVITEX opens pass-through lane for Kawit bound motorists

Kawit-bound motorists may now use CAVITEX toll plaza’s left most booth as it will be converted into a pass-through lane straight to the Kawit toll plaza. This new traffic scheme will be for Class 1 vehicles only and will be implemented between 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm during weekdays.

“Ever since Metro Manila and nearby areas were opened for economic activity, there has been a surge in the number of vehicles plying the CAVITEX, this scheme is intended to ease the evening traffic, before the Paranaque toll Plaza,” said Roberto Bontia, President and General Manager of CAVITEX concessionaire, Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (“CIC”).

Additionally, to help ease the traffic congestion, Cavite-bound motorists may now again use the Pacific Drive entry to CAVITEX, which was closed due to the construction of the flyover.

“This serves as an alternate route wherein vehicles from Roxas Boulevard may enter the Macapagal Boulevard onto Pacific Drive to enter the CAVITEX,” Added Bontia

According to CAVITEX, this pass-through lane will be separated from the other lanes with cones until after the Bacoor interchange.

CIC and its joint venture partner, the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) strongly urge motorists to avail of the Easytrip RFID before the November 2, 2020 full implementation of the Department of Transportation’s Order No. 2020-012 that requires cashless and contactless transactions of motorists using the tollways to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus as well as ease the passage of vehicles.
