Kawasaki updates pocket Z

Pocket-sized bikes like the Honda Grom are one of those bikes that we wish were sold domestically. Luckily for fans of these bikes, there are still a few examples they can acquire locally. One of them is the Kawasaki Z125 pocket bike.

For 2022-onwards, Team Green has made a couple of updates to the Z125 Pro.

As the name indicates, the Z125 Pro ispart of Kawasaki's line of Z naked bikes. Its styling is inspired by Kawasaki’s 1,043cc, 144 Ps Z1000 “super naked” bike. While the headlight is not exactly close, the rest of the bike's fairings pay a faithful tribute.

The 2022 Z125 Pro will be offered in three color liveries: Pearl Shining Yellow (main photo), Metallic Flat Spark Black, and Pearl Robotic White/Candy Plasma Blue.

Engine

Its heart is still the same potent, 125cc air-cooled engine that powered the outgoing Z125 Pro. However, the engine’s output is claimed to be better now, churning out 15 Ps and around 9 Nm of torque.

The Z125 Pro features a plush LCD screen with a gear indicator, inverted forks, front and rear disc brakes, and an LED taillight.

When the previous generation Z125 was offered here, the SRP was PhP 122,000. While it's a bit pricey, some customers certainly thought it was well worth it.

Let’s just hope that if Kawasaki PH decides to offer the Z125 Pro again, the price will be much friendlier on the pocket.
