Kawasaki unveils new enduro

Kawasaki Philippines has recently unveiled their new entry-level off-road motorcycle, the new KLX150BF. The new enduro clearly has its sights set on Honda’s CRF150L.

Engine

The new KLX150 is powered by the same reliable 144cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine found in the outgoing KLX150L. It churns out about 12-Ps of power at 8,000 rpm and 11.3-Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

A plastic, 7-liter fuel tank is still standard, along with 21-inch and 18-inch front and rear wheels.

What’s new

For the KLX150BF, Kawasaki added a plastic handguard and skid plate. Perhaps, the most obvious addition is the incorporation of a 35mm inverted fork, which Kawasaki claims will provide better performance versus the conventional forks installed on the KLX150L.

Price

As for the price, the new Kawasaki KLX150BF is more affordable than its Honda counterpart at only Ph₱129,900. That’s Ph₱6,000 cheaper than Honda’s entry-level off-road motorcycle which currently has an SRP of Ph₱135,900.
