Royal Enfield has a new Philippine partners

Back in September, Hardcore Brothers Custom Motorcycles, Inc. (HBCMI) announced their split from Royal Enfield after 12 years of distributorship here in the Philippines. “After 12 years of a fruitful partnership, Hardcore Brothers Custom ended its exclusive nationwide distributorship of Royal Enfield in September 2023,” said HBCMI President and CEO, Jimmy Barinaga.

After weeks of speculations of who will take over Royal Enfield in the country, Mike Bondoc of Bikerbox, Inc., has finally confirmed that the company, together with MotorAce – one of the largest motorcycle dealers in the Philippines – will be distributing the 122-year-old motorcycle brand.

Bikerbox, Inc., has long established itself as one of the premier retailers of many premium motorcycle brands and riding gear. Currently, Bikerbox distributes Aprilia and Moto Guzzi motorcycles. The company was recently acquired by MotorAce.

MotorAce, on the other hand, is one of the largest motorcycle dealers in the entire Philippines, with hundreds of branches in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Royal Enfield, has a rich history as a motorcycle brand. The company has roots that date back to 1851 in the manufacturing of sewing needles, small firearms, and bicycles. By 1901, it had begun producing motorcycles.

In 1955, the production of Royal Enfield motorcycles was licensed to Madras Motors to form Enfield India. Since then, Royal Enfield has become one of the biggest motorcycle manufacturers in the world and has sold more than 700,000 units in 2022.
