KTM PH teases arrival of Norden 901 adventure bike

Back in 2019, KTM showcased the Husqvarna Norden 901 during that year’s EICMA show only as an experiment, trying to get a general feel on how the motorcycle community would respond to seeing an almost 1,000cc adventure bike from the Swedish brand.

2 years later, KTM commits to the new model and officially introduced the 890 Adventure R-based Norden 901. This year, Adventure Cycle Philippines, Inc., – the distributor of KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles in the country – will be finally bringing the Norden 901 to the delight of its Pinoy fans.

Husqvarna Norden 901 arriving in the PH in Q2 image

Yesterday, the official social media page of Husqvarna in the country teased Pinoy fans with a photo of the Norden 901’s front facia. It reads “Get ready to explore the world your way.” This signals the arrival of the Norden 901 to PH shores.

With a little bit of asking around our industry contacts, including KTM and Husqvarna dealers and owners, we were able to deduce the arrival of the Norden 901 in the PH to be sometime in Q2 of this year, or anytime between April to June 2023.

As for the price, our contacts say the Norden 901’s SRP may range anywhere between PHP 950,000 to PHP 1,000,000 per unit, and may even be assembled in KAMMI's Sta. Rosa, Laguna facility.

Norden 901

The Norden 901 is Husqvarna’s first-ever foray into the world of adventure bikes. Based on KTM’s 890 Adventure, the Norden 901 is also powered by an 899cc twin-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 107 Ps of power.

The engine is housed in a light, steel trellis frame prepared to carry rider, luggage, and passenger to the furthest points of the compass across any terrain, assisted by a long travel WP APEX suspension.

Like the 890 Adventure R, the Norden 901 boasts its off-road capabilities with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tires, an inverted U-shaped tank to keep the bike’s weight down low, off-road traction and riding modes, and many more.

Would you be telling KTM PH to “shut up and take my money!”?
