Honda shows CT125 Hunter Cub on and off-road

You don't need a big and heavy adventure bike to go adventure riding. This is what the new teaser video from Honda Thailand wants to say, featuring their new CT125 Hunter Cub. First revealed at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, the CT125 Hunter Cub is now coming to several markets like Thailand.

Equipped with a rear rack capable of carrying a couple of day’s worth of supplies and clothing, the CT125 Hunter Cub could be an excellent substitute to the more complex and heavy adventure bikes.

Based on the Super Cub C125, the new CT125 Hunter Cub wants to expand the "Super Cub" experience for riders who enjoy outdoor leisure activities such as hiking, trail riding, or even camping. The body and frame rigidity have been reconfigured to allow for a wide variety of situations, from city driving to light trekking. It features a 'scrambler-style’ high-mount muffler, powertrain under guard, and the front fork is capable of 110mm of travel. It also gets disc brakes in the front (with ABS) and back.

It is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, OHC, single-cylinder 124cc engine that uses an automatic centrifugal clutch that does not require clutch operation by the left hand. Power output is tuned for power in low and medium speed ranges, with conditions ideal for start and stop city driving and slow cruising done while touring or trekking. Its fuel capacity is 5.4 liters, with a claimed range of about 354 kilometers in one top-up.

Are we getting the CT125 Hunter Cub in the Philippines? For now, there's still no word from Honda Philippines if it will be bringing in the CT125 Hunter Cub.
