The first of three legs

Thousands of Honda riders from Luzon gathered at the Megatent in Libis, Quezon City, for the 2018 Honda Riders Convention: Luzon Leg.

The gathering is the first of a series of events Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI,) hopes to hold across the country with a Visayas and Mindanao Leg to follow. The event is intended to show HPI's gratitude to Filipino riders for their unwavering support as well as to encourage them to continue pursuing their dreams. Quite aptly the event's theme was One Dream.

At the venue Honda treated riders to a variety of events and activities. On display was Honda's complete lineup of motorcycles from its AT scooters all the way to big bikes.

Food and refreshment tents were setup for event visitors. Partner companies and suppliers were also present with aftermarket accessories and equipment.

There was also a test ride area as well as a Riders Skills Challenge were participants had to navigate through a moto gymkhana course in the shortest time possible. Inside the Megatent, Honda showcased the best set up bikes.

Easily the highlight of the day was the main program held inside the Megatent where Honda launched its latest models: the new BeAT with nine new colors, the new PCX150 flagship automatic scooter, the CBR150R matte gunpowder black and a new livery, and the CRF150L.

Honda also had a special program for its riders and clubs to show off their skills and talents. Among them was a “Riders Got Talent” competition and the “Biker Babe” segment. Honda also took the opportunity to recognize its various motorcycle clubs with special awards. The day ended with a special concert for those in attendance with artists, Cucay and 6Cyclemind entertaining the crowd.

“You are the reason why we have succeeded all these years. Honda is always inspired to create the best products and latest innovations that suit your lifestyle, so we can continue to inspire our Honda Riders like you,” said Susumu Mitsuishi, president of HPI.

The next Honda Riders Conventions will be held in Visayas and Mindanao.
