Apparently, Honda has a lifestyle event specific for CRF 1000L/ 1100L Africa Twin owners that’s been running since 2017 – the Honda Adventure Roads Tour.
2019 Honda Adventure Roads South Africa
“The Honda Adventure Roads has been created purely for Honda Africa Twin owners and customers to enjoy riding a new Africa Twin CRF1100L in a new environment,” said Honda. Besides riding at the best adventure riding spots in the world, Africa Twin owners also get the rare privilege of riding together with some of the best HRC off-road ambassadors. These ambassadors also serve as the riding coaches for the group, making sure that Africa Twin owners learn how to tame their adventure bike.
Honda Adventure Roads is a planned 11-day adventure with premium hotels selected for Africa Twin riders, and all expenses like food, fuel, and accommodation already included in the tour package.
2021 canceled
For 2021, set to be staged in Iceland, Honda decided to cancel it completely and move to 2022 with a tentative date from June to July.
“Following previous tours across Norway (2017) and South Africa (2019), the third edition of Honda Adventure Roads had been planned for June 2021, with 30 CRF1100L Africa Twin riders set to tackle the unique volcanic landscape of Iceland,” said Honda through a statement.
With the ongoing uncertainty around international travel restrictions, the decision has now been made, reluctantly, to postpone the event until 2022. The provisional dates of the 2022 event are Friday June 24 to Monday July 4, 2022. All participants will be entitled to a full refund, or to hold their place for 2022 with a small deposit.
This decision has been taken at this early stage to give customers the ability to plan their 2021 schedules, and Honda Motor Europe is extremely grateful for the understanding of all participants towards this difficult decision.
