Thailand and Europe to get first crack

Encouraged by the positive response to the ADV 150 in Indonesia, it seems Honda is keen to greenlight its bigger brother, the ADV 300. The ADV 300 will be sold in Thailand and the European market. No word on the Philippines yet.

Vietnamese motorcycle site, MotoSaigon.vn, got their hands on the spec sheet and revealed a lot of details about the coming adventure scooter.

According to them, the ADV 300 will be powered by the same engine found on the Honda Forza 300. This is a 279 cc SOHC single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 25 Hp at 7,000 rpm and 27.2 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. Power goes to the rear wheel via a CVT.

If the ADV 150 is anything to go by, it will also likely have a color TFT screen as an instrument panel, a smart-key, idling stop, ABS, and Showa shocks.

The shocks themselves will have 33 mm of travel in front while the rear will be Showa with 7 preload adjustment settings.

There is little information on price, except that it will be very close to the Forza 300 already offered in Thailand and Europe.

The ADV 300 will be launched in early 2020 in the Thailand and the European market.
