In celebration of May the 4th, also known worldwide as Star Wars day, we bring you something that should intrigue any apprentice of the force, whether on the Imperial or Rebel side. What better way to show your allegiance than with officially licensed Star Wars helmets?
Made by HJC, this unique line of helmet is inspired by those worn by the most popular characters in the movie. There’s a set inspired by the leads of the original trilogy and sequel trilogy. There’s also a Rebel fighter pilot design and the ever popular Storm Trooper. HJC offers these helmets in a variety of styles, from modular, open face, full face, to even MX style.
RPHA 11 Pro
Leading the collection are HJC’s top-of-the-line modular designs printed on their RPHA 11 Pro helmet. This aerodynamic helmet is made with reinforcement materials, including carbon and carbon-glass hybrid fabric. It’s lined with a multicool interior with polygiene that is an advanced anti-bacterial fabric that provides quick drying. It is DOT and ECE certified and even comes with an emergency release cheek pad system. The RPHA 11 Pro comes in Boba Fett and Kylo Ren designs.
RPHA 90
Next in line is the modular RPHA 90. It’s made with carbon and carbon-glass hybrid fabric material. Like the RPHA 11 Pro, it’s also lined with a multicool interior with polygiene. The RPHA 90 is designed for more relaxed touring with a low-noise interior that is reduces noise significantly. This is best for riders that need to wear glasses while riding as the design accommodates eyeglasses and sunglasses. If you have radio coms, this also includes recessed areas for custom speaker placement. The Darth Vader design is exclusive to the RPHA 90.
IS-5
Fans of the Rebel Scum should look to the IS-5 line. There could be no better canvas than the retro-style, the open-face helmet. It’s made of an advanced polycarbonate composite shell and comes with an integrated sun shield with a smoke tin and anti-scratch coating that easily slides up or down. A 3-snap peak visor is also included. The IS-5 is DOT approved and is available in Poe Dameron and Rebel Fighter Pilot styles.
CS-R3
For aspiring Storm Troopers, the Empire recommends the standard issue CS-R3. It’s made with an advanced polycarbonate composite shell. Its face shield provides 95% UV protection, but cannot guarantee improved marksmanship. It’s also fitted with an “ACS” Advanced Channeling Ventilation system for full front to back airflow. The Storm Trooper design is exclusive to the CS-R3.
CS-MX II
Finally, for riders that can bullseye womp rats in their T-16 back home, there’s the CS-MX II. This off-road helmet is also made of an advanced polycarbonate composite shell for light weight helmet, and good fit. Its large eye ports provide maximum visibility, especially when tailed by TIE- fighters. It is also fitted with an “ACS” Advanced Channeling Ventilation system for full front to back airflow. The X-Wing fighter pilot design from the sequel trilogy is exclusive to the CS-MX II.
