New entry-level cruiser at Php 398,000
As a follow-up to the first of Harley's new line of Dark Custom motorcycles started by the Street 750, local distributor, Harley-Davidson of Manila took the wraps off its Street 500 at Solaire Casino.
The Street 500 is is powered by the Revolution X powertrain, with a liquid-cooled 500cc V-twin at its heart, and a 6-speed transmission with a belt drive. The Street 500 shares the same platform as its big brother with a low seat height, broad handlebar sweeper, teardrop gas tank and single port fuel injection. Its engine produces 41 Nm of torque from as low as 2,250 rpm. Nonetheless it can still achieve an average of 27 km/L in mixed use.
It rides on 7-spoke cast aluminum wheels with a machined rim. It's brought to a quick stop by 2-piston floating calipers in the front and rear.
Being part of the Dark Custom series, the Street line is characterized by less chrome and more painted and matte black surfaces. There's also a broad range of aftermarket accessories are also available.
The Harley-Davidson Street 500 is now available at all Harley-Davidson showrooms at Php 398,000.
