In compliance with the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine imposed last night, March 16, 2020, food delivery services GrabFood and FoodPanda have suspended their services “until further notice.”

The enhanced community quarantine has imposed tight restrictions on who can travel during this time, limiting it to only essential personnel. During the press conference after President Duterte’s recorded announcement last night, cabinet secretaries clarified that only food processing services and establishments may operate, not restaurants as earlier thought.

In an effort to reduce the likelihood of their riders catching the disease and in anticipation of any difficulties their riders may face while on the road, both food services have opted to temporarily suspend operations during this time.
