EICMA 2023: CFMOTO 450MT adventure bike

New 450cc adventure bike by CFMOTO unveiled at EICMA

Back in August of this year, Motostrada – the exclusive Philippine distributor of CFMOTO – invited us for the global launch and first ride of the all-new 450NK. With its new and robust parallel-twin engine, we speculated that soon, CFMOTO would add an ‘adventure bike version’ of the lightweight 450NK, and they did.

Beginner-friendly ADV bike

On paper, CFMOTO claims that the new 450MT adventure bike tips the scales at only 175 kilos dry. If we add oil, coolant and 17.5 liters of fuel (full tank) to make it adventure ride-ready, we estimate that the 450MT’s weight will be close to 200 kilograms.

While it looks heavy on paper, the new 450MT makes up for it thanks to its engine’s linear power delivery and low seat height of only 820mm. For comparison, the popular Yamaha Aerox 155 has a seat height of 790mm.

This seat height is unlikely to intimidate many beginners, as well as intermediate adventure bike riders.

The new 450MT also boasts 41mm KYB front USD forks and KYB rear mono shock with 200mm of travel. Both front and rear suspension are preload and damping adjustable.

Other features include a 5-inch curved TFT screen with over-the-air (OTA) functionality, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, switchable ABS, switchable traction control, full LED lighting, adjustable windscreen, slipper clutch, aluminum skid plate and plastic handguards.

Availability and pricing

Globally, CFMOTO will begin deliveries of the new 450MT within Q1 of 2024, while the Philippines may start receiving units sometime during the 1st half of 2024. SRP is TBA.
