Ducati Philippines officially launched the Supersport, a light yet versatile sports bike for every day roads. The new model was unveiled at G Gastropub in Bonifacio Global City.

The visually compact, light bike boasts of strong Panigale superbike overtones and has an approachable feel thanks to easy handling, Ducati’s Safety Pack (ABS Bosch + Ducati Traction Control), and an agreeable price.

The Supersport is designed to be agile on city streets, comfortable on the highway and even more fun on out-of-town twisties. It features relaxed rider and passenger positions, good airflow deflection long range from the 16-liter fuel tank. Powering it is a twin-cylinder 937 cc Testastretta 11-degree engine that delivers 113 hp at 9,000 rpm and torque that peaks at 96.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The power is channeled through a six-speed transmission.

A full LCD display also shows all the important readouts on the go. Among those displayed is the three Riding Modes (Sport, Touring and Urban) for enjoyment in a variety of conditions. The Riding Modes can also be customized further. It also has quite the range with its 16-liter fuel tank.

The Supersport is offered in two variants, the SuperSport and the SuperSport S. Only the S is offered in matte pearl white with Öhlins race spec suspension in the front and rear.

During the launch, Ducati teased the Supersport with its own homegrown video, starring Supersport brand ambassadors, Ludwig Peralta, Nikki Romero, and Kim Atienza. The video showed why the trio love riding and how the Supersport fits comfortably in to their lifestyles.

Ducati executives also handed over plaques of appreciation to the Asia Pacific executives present for the launch, Enrico Remegio, Ducati Asia PAcific Area Sales Manager; Stefano Campaci, Ducati Asia Pacific Marketing and Events; and Marco Biondi, Ducati Asia Pacific General Manager.

Before the night was over, Ducati Philippines CEO, Toti Alberto, General Manager, Marc de Joya, and DoT Assistant Secretary, Ricky Alegre, handed over the symbolic keys to the first batch of Supersport owners.

The SuperSport is available at Ducati Philippines showrooms, priced at PhP 910,000, while the Supersport S is priced at PhP 999,000.
