Ducati updates the DesertX with more off-road capabilities

Back in December of 2021, Ducati launched what would be the Italian brand’s most off-road-capable adventure bike – the DesertX.

Soon enough, Ducati tested the DesertX in various off-road competitions around the world, including the Spanish Adventure Tourism Cup, and the grueling Erzbergrodeo Hard Enduro race.

What learned from these experiences led to the creation of the DesertX Rally.

Ducati further refined the DesertX to become more potent off-road. To achieve this, Ducati raised the front mudguard similar to an enduro bike, upgraded the rims to Takasago Excel, now with inner tubes; the suspension now with Kashima Coating treatments on the fork tubes and DLC on the sliders, an adjustable Öhlins steering damper fixed to the handlebar and much more.

Also, the new DesertX Rally now comes in new Iron Giant livery.

The Ducati DesertX Rally is Bologna’s most off-road-oriented large-capacity bike to date. Powered by a 937cc Testastretta L-twin engine, this beast churns out 112 Ps (110 Hp) of power and 92 Nm of torque. This power can then be controlled through DesertX’s 6 customizable riding modes, including Enduro and Rally modes.
