New CFMOTO minibike launched in Malaysia, is the PH next?

What happens when you fuse an early 90s Kawasaki Ninja and a modern KSR minibike? We get the XO-1 Papio from CFMOTO. Just a few months after its global premiere, the XO-1 Papio has found its way to Malaysia and it is being sold for only MYR 8,888 – roughly PHP 111,000 direct conversion to our currency.

On the outside, the XO-1 Papio gets its design cues from Japanese motorcycles from the 90s, with its pronounced twin LED headlights and Bol d’Or-ish half fairing design. Underneath those plastics is a 126cc, air-cooled single-cylinder powerplant that is claimed to be capable of producing 9 Ps of power and 8.3 Nm of torque. Also standard for the XO-1 Papio is a pair of bar end side mirrors, inverted forks, disc brakes with ABS, a preload-adjustable monoshock absorber, and many more.

According to CFMOTO, the XO-1 Papio is aimed at the younger generation of riders who want a unique motorcycle with classic 90s looks and at the same time has the size of a small scooter that can easily maneuver its way in and out of the traffic.
