Ducati and Lego will let you build your own Panigale V4 R with this official Lego Technic set. The Ducati Panigale V4 R is the first-ever brick reproduction of a Ducati motorcycle.
The Ducati Panigale V4 R now joins the elite club of motorcycles immortalized in Lego sets that include the BMW R1200 GS, and Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
There could be no better motorcycle to immortalize in brick form than the Bologna-based brand’s most powerful Ducati of all time: the 221 hp Panigale V4 R powered by a 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine.
The set comes with a V4 engine, paired to a specially-designed 2-speed gearbox. Lego has also made unique front and rear suspension parts just for this model. It also features front and rear disc brakes.
Lego has endeavored to be as faithful as possible to the original, including in the way the kickstand works, the exhaust pipe and windscreen are shaped, as well as the instrument cluster details, even though it’s just a sticker.
"Our hope is that the Ducati Panigale V4 R Lego Technic can bring together, excite and entertain children and parents, but also all the fans who ride their motorbikes every day," said Alessandro Cicognani, Ducati Licensing Director.
"It was essential for me to include as many details and features as I could, to capture all the curves and the unique design of the Red icon, to create for the first time a functioning gearbox and steering as well as a V4 cylinder engine that spins,” said Aurélien Rouffiange, Senior Designer of Lego Technic.
The Lego Ducati Panigale V4 R is made of 646 pieces. It measures 32 cm in length, 16 cm in height and 8 cm in width. It’s designed for fans aged 10+ and will be available in Ducati dealerships, in the Ducati Online Shop, in Lego Stores, in the Lego Online Store and in Lego Brand Retail Stores from June 1, 2020 onward.
