Launched virtually last Saturday, February 6, 2021, the new Bobber 650 will be available at an introductory price of PhP398,000 and comes with a free Easytrip RFID. Best of all, Bristol will also offer another PhP20,000 discount for cash buyers until the end of this month.

Bobber 650

A “bobber” cruiser, in its purest sense, is a type of custom-made motorcycle that is stripped of excess bodywork and unnecessary accessories. This style first appeared during the 1920s but has grown more popular in recent years due to its minimalist approach.

For the Bristol Bobber 650, the same minimalistic aesthetic is applied. It comes with chopped fenders and a “springer-inspired” seat. The Bobber 650 is also offered with a dual-seat option.

At the heart of the Bobber 650 is a 649cc parallel-twin engine that produces about 71 Ps of power at 8,500 rpm with 62 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. It also features a 6-speed gearbox, with chain as the final drive.

For the suspension, the Bobber 650 rides on a KYB telescopic fork, while the rear has dual spring shock absorbers. Perhaps, what caught our attention is the Bobber 650’s large 345-millimeter disc for the front, which is usually reserved for high-performance motorcycles. The rear also gets a 280-millimeter large disc. Both the front and rear brakes are ABS-equipped for safety.

Fuel capacity is 14.5 liters, with a claimed range of about 232 kilometers in one top-up.
