QJ motorcycles to be distributed by the Bristol Group

Bristol Group, the exclusive distributor of Bristol Motorcycles, as well as Italian marque, Moto Morini here in the country, has announced the newest brand they’ll be carrying to their growing portfolio: QJMOTOR.

One of the biggest in the world

QJ or Qianjiang Motor is one of the biggest motorcycle manufacturers in the world. Founded in China in 1985, QJMOTOR employs more than 10,000 employees around the world and has ongoing technical partnerships with key motorcycle manufacturers such as MV Agusta (Italy), Harley Davidson (USA), Peugeot (France), and KYMCO (Taiwan).

In 2005, QJMOTOR acquired the Italian motorcycle brand Benelli, which has been producing motorcycles since 1911. Other brands owned by QJMOTOR are Keeway and KSR Moto.

QJMOTOR is a wholly owned subsidiary of GEELY, a Chinese multi-national automotive company that currently owns Volvo, Geometry, Maple, Zeekr, Polestar, Lynk & Co., Proton, and Lotus. GEELY also owns significant shares in Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, as well as Aston Martin.

QJ models by Bristol

Bristol Group will be introducing exciting QJ models for the Philippine market. In the entry-level 400cc segment, they’ll be introducing the SRV400 and SRK400. The SRV400 is a 400cc V-twin cruiser which could be the basis for the rumored rebadged entry-level Harley-Davidson. The introductory price is PHP 298,000.

The SRK400, on the other hand, is the entry-level naked bike from QJMOTOR. The introductory price is PHP 278,000.

In the 600cc segment, Bristol Group will be introducing the SRK600 and SRK600RC. Both bikes will be powered by an inline-four cylinder 600cc engine with a claimed maximum output of 82 Ps of power and 55 Nm of torque.

The SRK600 is for those who want a naked streetbike, while the SRK600RC is the sportbike version with full fairings. The introductory price for these models will be PHP 468,000 and 498,000, respectively.

In the adventure bike segment, the QJ SRT 800X will be Bristol Group's flagship model, with an introductory price of PHP 538,000. This adventure bike is the same one as Benelli's TRK 800 adventure bike that is powered by a parallel twin, 754cc liquid-cooled engine that produces about 77 Ps of power and 77 Nm of torque.
