BMW Rider Training Program kicks off, more to come

BMW Motorrad is the country’s leader when it comes to premium motorcycles. When it comes to rider safety, BMW Motorrad Philippines also positions itself as the leader through its “riding school”.

Yesterday, clients from different parts of the Philippines converged at the Carmona Racing Circuit for this year’s first BMW Motorrad Rider Training Program conducted by coaches Toto Villanueva and Jacob Orbe.

The training program, which consisted of both theoretical and actual drills using the F 750 and F 850 adventure bikes, was designed to teach riders the fundamentals of riding a motorcycle, as well as its safety aspects. In addition, the whole-day training also taught riders the best techniques in emergency situations like evasive maneuvers and proper braking.

Stressing the importance of rider training, coach Toto has also reminded that riders should also do their part by practicing what they have learned from the program, and to be better and safer riders on the road.

Contrary to popular belief, riding motorcycles is not just sanayan lang (just experience), there’s always a science behind proper and safe motorcycle riding taught by certified riding coaches. Remember, driving is not a right, but a privilege. Make sure you know the proper way to ride, and getting properly educated will always be valuable.
