BMW Motorrad to join World SBK

When we hear about M-Sport, the first thing that comes to mind is BMW cars. Not anymore. M Perfomance Parts is now coming to BMW Motorrad, starting with the S1000 RR.

The arrival of the new S 1000 RR will be met with an M package and M optional equipment ex works for the first time. The range of products available for the new RR is also rounded off with an extensive selection of M Performance Parts as part of the accessories program.

The M-tech package for the new BMW S1000 RR is comprised the following: Motorsport paint finish, M carbon fibre wheels, M lightweight battery, M Chassis Kit with rear ride height adjustment and swingarm pivot, M sport seat, and Pro Mode.

In the same way that M has become a worldwide synonym for performance when it comes to cars, the BMW Group hopes to create the same association with Motorrad.

Cooperation with BMW Group Motorsport is also being intensified so as to tap into additional synergies between automobile and motorcycle racing, especially in terms of trade and logistics.

BMW M Sport package now available for S1000 RR

BMW Motorrad will join the 2019 season of the FIM World Superbike (WorldSBK) Championship. The new BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team will enter in collaboration with Shaun Muir Racing. Its riders will be 2013 Superbike World Championship winner Tom Sykes (GBR) and reigning Superstock 1000 European champion and three-time IDM champion Markus Reiterberger (GER).
