Fresh from the reveal of its GSX-R 1000R, Suzuki took the wraps off its GSX-R150 at the 2017 Bangkok International Motor Show, which is inspired by the superbike. The fully faired light sport bike is squarely positioned against Honda’s CBR150R and Yamaha’s R15.

The bike features a ground clearance of 160mm and a seat height pegged at 785 mm. It boasts of a dry weight of 126 kg, for best in class power to weight ratio.

Powering the 2017 Suzuki GSX-R150 is a 147.3 cc single cylinder, water-cooled, fuel injected engine coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 19.17 PS of maximum power at 10,500 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm.

Some of the highlights include a halogen front lamp, LED taillights, a digital instrument panel, front and rear discs with optional ABS, and a bolder choice of colors that include Blue, Black and Red. There’s also a keyless ignition option.
