Fans of Benelli motorcycles have something to celebrate as the manufacturer has released a sport version of the Leoncino 500 for the Chinese market.

The new Benelli Leoncino 500 Sport will get a new backlight for its digital cluster, and an additional 1 Ps of power. It was also reported that the new Sport version gained an additional half Nm of torque.

For the aesthetics, the new Benelli Leoncino 500 Sport gets clip-on handlebars, wire wheels, two-one-two exhaust, a windshield and a set of saddlebags.

The upgrades are reminiscent of Honda's CB1300 Bol 'D Or over the standard CB1300.

Everything else is the same equipment as the standard Leoncino 500 that we featured back in 2019, including the large 50mm fork, LED lights, dual 320mm floating discs stopped by twin 4-piston calipers, and the 13.5-liter fuel tank.

So far, the new “sport” version of the Leoncino 500 is available for the Chinese market, but knowing these brands, it may not be too long before they export these to markets outside of China, including the Philippines. The current Leoncino 500 retails at PhP369,000.
