Bajaj offers new passenger and cargo three-wheelers

First introducing themselves as a safer tricycle and personal transport option, Bajaj Philippines now hopes to reach out budding entrepreneurs with their new models, the RE Special Edition, Maxima, and Maxima Cargo.

These new additions to the Bajaj three-wheeler lineup build upon the functionality of the first RE with more powerful engines, varied cabins, and features designed to cater to entrepreneurs.

Bajaj RE Special Edition

Based on the Bajaj RE, the first model offered by Bajaj Philippines, the Special Edition improves upon it with new features. Instead of a soft canvas roof, the Special Edition now comes with a hard resin roof and solid resin doors both for added safety and improved comfort. It’s powered by a 198.88cc engine that includes fuel injection, a new hot air deflector, and dual oil filter for more reliable and smoother operation. It’s paired with a 4-speed transmission with a reverse gear that can take it up to 60 km/h. It’s offered at PhP198,888.

Designed for both cargo and transport use is the new Maxima Z. The Maxima Z is powered by a larger 236cc fuel-injected engine. This engine can produce 11 Ps at 4,500 rpm and 20.45 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. It’s paired with a 4-speed transmission with reverse gear that can take it up to 62 km/h.

To take on the extra weight of cargo or passengers, it’s fitted with a twin coilspring front suspension and a heavy duty (constant velocity) CV shaft. It features a rear bench seat that can easily be pushed forward to create up to 800 liters of cargo space. It can carry up to 330 kg of cargo

It’s available in three colors and priced at PhP209,888.

Sharing the same platform is the Maxima Cargo. Like the Maxima Z, it’s powered by a 236cc fuel-injected engine. This engine can produce 11 Ps at 4,500 rpm and 20 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. It’s paired with a 4-speed transmission with reverse gear that can take it up to 62 km/h.

To take on the extra weight of cargo or passengers, it’s fitted with a twin coilspring front suspension and a heavy duty (constant velocity) CV shaft. It features a flat rear bed to carry as much as 487 kg of cargo. It’s only available in white but can be had at an SRP of PhP204,888.
