As the 2021 MotoGP season kicks off in Losail Circuit in Qatar, and just hours before taking to the track for the first official tests, Aprilia unveiled its 2021 MotoGP team.
It will be headlines by the new weapon from Noale, Italy: a revamped RS-GP. Racing this technologically-advanced Aprilia for this racing season will be Aleix Espargaro and Lorenzo Savadori.
The new RS-GP V4, was almost sidelined due to the pandemic. Now after being uncovered, the new MotoGP bike from Aprilia represents a new beginning not only for the company but for everyone.
“It may seem trite, but I am always emotional at the start of a new season,” said Espargaro.
He added that off-season testing proved some positive results, and he and the team are looking forward to a solid 2021 MotoGP season.
“The first contact with the new RS-GP was positive. The guys worked hard over the winter, but we still have a long way to go. We have a demanding and very busy championship ahead, where physical and mental fitness will need to be at top levels. I'm more prepared than ever.”
