40th BIMS to highlight latest an upcoming motorcycles for ASEAN region

The 40th edition of the Bangkok International Motor Show is once again ready to open its doors to motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world. Organizer Grand Prix International PCL has chosen the theme “Enjoyment of Automobiles” for this year’s event to be held at the IMPACT Challenger in Muang Thong Thani.

“The Bangkok International Motor Show has been internationally recognized as the Greatest Motor Show of ASEAN, proven by the annual participation of various global leading automotive brands,” declares Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow, CEO of Grand Prix PCL and the Chairman of the 40th Bangkok International Motor Show.

This year's show has attracted a total of 14 renowned motorcycle companies such as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Harley-Davidson, BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Triumph, Vespa, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, and GPX.

“The 40th BIMS is held under the theme of ‘Enjoyment of Automobiles’, conveying the craftsmanship of modern-day automobiles that have been finely designed to blend well with cutting-edge technologies equipped with the car to bring out the most enjoyable experience between man and machine on all journeys,” said Jaturont Komolmis, Executive Committee / COO of Grand Prix International PCL and the Vice Chairman of the 40th Bangkok International Motor Show.

Considered as the first major auto event of Thailand, the Bangkok International Motor Show has consistently set the standard of for the country and the region with more than 4 decades of experience. Being the first event of the year, it is a major driver of Thailand’s automotive industry where major players get to show their latest offerings.

The 39thedition of the BIMS attracted 1,620,000 visitors over its 12-day duration. Despite the new shift of consumers towards the digital sphere globally, the show continues to attract discerning visitors who want to see, test, touch and feel the actual motorcycle before making their purchase. As such, organizers believe that such changing trends will not affect the number of visitors.

Visitors will once again get a first-hand experience of the latest models as well as concepts, embrace cutting-edge technology and innovation of today and tomorrow.

Organizers have decided to maintain the admission fee at THB 100. However, a new collaboration with Kasikorn Bank for advanced purchases through their online platform. Special-rate tickets can be purchased in advance via the ‘K-PLUS’ application for ‘40-Day : 40-Baht’. The special rate tickets will be available from 13 February through 26 March 2019.
