Grab announces return of 24/7 delivery service

Late night cravings can be satisfied once again. Grab has announced that they will be returning their 24-hour delivery service. This 24/7 operations will be for their GrabFood and GrabExpress services for Metro Manila only.

“As we all cope with COVID-19’s impacts and navigate towards recovery, GrabExpress and select merchants on GrabFood will resume their 24-hour operations across Metro Manila starting Sept. 16,” says Grab through a statement.

On September 2, Grab updated its hours of operations from 5:00 AM till 12:00 midnight in select localities. These are Cebu, Pampanga, and Metro Manila.

Back in August 2, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager, Jojo Garcia, said food establishments and those that are allowed to operate under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) are exempted from the 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew.

Mayor Isko Moreno of Manila, was among the first to authorize 24/7 food delivery services, citing it as a way to meet customer demand and help businesses during GCQ.
