Triumph teases testing of upcoming Tiger 1200

Triumph has a new Tiger 1200 and is building up the hype for its official unveiling in EICMA this coming November.

“With the all-new Tiger 1200, now in final prototype testing, the brief was simple: only the best will do. Designed to be the world’s most compact, agile and manoeuvrable large capacity adventure motorcycle, the Tiger 1200 will introduce a genuine revolution in capability, control and feel,” said Triumph in a press statement.

Tested by the best

Just last week, Triumph tapped the services of 12-time AMA motocross and supercross champion, Ricky Carmichael, to help in the testing and development of the Tiger 1200. Carmichael was seen tearing up the MX track with the big Tiger 1200 like it was one of his smaller motocross bikes. “This thing is like a Tiger 900 on steroids,” said Ricky.

While the upcoming Tiger 1200 is no lightweight, Triumph wanted to show just what its large adventure bike is capable of in the right hands. Triumph adds that the upcoming Tiger 1200 is “tuned for maximum road and off-road capability, regardless of where, when or how it’s ridden, supreme rider feedback will be assured, and high mileage comfort guaranteed.”
