For 2020, Yamaha has updated the YZF-R3... with two new color options and featuring a new graphic design. The new colors still include the trademark Icon Blue version, inspired by the current livery of the Yamaha racing teams in motorsports, and to further reinforcing the strong R-Series family links and underline their race-bred DNA. The two new color schemes are Icon Blue and Midnight Black.
Yamaha's R-series are inspired by Yamaha's M1 MotoGP bike and led by the flagship YZF-R1M and YZF-R1. The 2020 R-Series line-up gives every thrill-seeking rider the opportunity to move rapidly through the capacity ranks and progress all the way to the top.
For the engine, nothing has changed. It is still powered by the same 321cc liquid-cooled engine churning out 41.5 Ps at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque of the MY 2019. The chassis is built from a compact and lightweight high-tensile steel tube frame to return a near 50/50 front and rear weight distribution.
The front suspension is a 37 mm KYB upside-down fork with a YZR-M1 inspired top clamp. It has a 298 mm disc in front and a 220 mm disc for the rear brake, and ABS as standard. The current SRP of the MY 2019 R3 is P259,000, while there is still no pricing available for the MY 2020.
