India is excited for the arrival of the Gixxer 250

Suzuki India just launched the highly-anticipated Gixxer SF 250. Its design was inspired by Suzuki's flagship motorcycle, the GSX-R1000. It is powered by an all-new air and oil cooled 249cc single-cylinder engine that features a unique oil-cooler system that is developed specifically for the Gixxer SF 250. With the Gixxer 250's launch, it is inevitable that a naked version will also be released, soon.

Like the GSX-S1000 which is the "naked" version of its fully-faired sibling, the GSX-R1000, the Gixxer 250 is said to be based on the Gixxer SF 250

Just 3 days ago, photos of what seems to be an all-new Gixxer 250 has been leaked, with the overall looks similar to that of the current Gixxer 150 that is available here in the country. For now, we could only speculate that the Gixxer SF 250 and the Gixxer 250 will share about everything: engine, chassis, brakes and even the suspensions. Claimed fuel economy is 38.5 kilometers per liter.

Speculated Indian market pricing converts to approvimately PhP160,000. Nonetheless, there's no word from Suzuki Philippines yet about the Gixxer 250.
